The Girl Who Wanted to Catch a Cloud in a Marmalade Jar – Back Cover Copy
Cheri is the daughter of a marmalade seller who spots a fox in the crowds at Borough Market. Her mum, Mrs Leicester, thinks her daughter made the fox up. Cheri feels betrayed and runs away to her hideaway at Southwark Cathedral. The fox appears again and persuades Cheri to prove to her mum that she can make the impossible happen. She decides to catch a cloud in a marmalade jar – an act that leads her to the highest building in London, the Shard. With the help of seagulls, a cat and a beekeeper, she’s close to achieving her goal, but what if it turns out to be too big a challenge?
The Girl Who Wanted to Catch a Cloud in a Marmalade Jar is a dreamy, modern and brave story for all children who want to make their dreams come true.
