I have a new sneak peak for you: the black and white artwork from my children’s book, The Girl Who Wanted to Catch a Cloud in a Marmalade Jar. It’s been so much fun and such a great experience to work with Duncan. He brought the book to life with his illustrations – and you haven’t seen them in colour yet!
I’m pleased to show you some early illustrations of The Girl Who Wanted to Catch a Cloud in a Marmalade Jar. I find Duncan’s illustrations really awesome and quirky. To my surprise, he made them look more interesting than I imagined them. I’m not exaggerating when I say my book would be nothing without them.
I am pleased to share some great news with you today. I’d like to introduce you to the illustrator of my children’s book, Duncan Beedie. If the name isn’t that new to you, I wouldn’t be surprised. Duncan doesn’t only do illustration, but he’s also published two amazing children’s books.
For many of us holidays are still here but my upcoming children’s book The Girl Who Wanted To Catch A Cloud In A Marmalade Jar is moving ahead. Just before the Christmas, I handed the manuscript to my editor and signed a contract with an illustrator.
My children’s book The Girl Who Wanted to Catch a Cloud in a Marmalade Jar is coming out on 20 April 2017. I talk about it everywhere I can and with whoever wants to listen – and I’m nicely surprised that people are not only interested, but they want to know more. If you’re one of those people, then continue reading.
